A man is in hospital in Liverpool after being stabbed following Sunday evening's FA Cup third round tie between Liverpool and Oldham Athletic at Anfield.
Merseyside Police said the man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
A statement said the area was "very busy with both football fans and passing motorists" when the assault took place.

A 79-year-old man has died after he was attacked by a dog in the garden of his home in the Clubmoor district of Liverpool, police said.
Merseyside Police were called to the address on Richard Kelly Close just before 8:40pm last night where they were confront by a dog that was out of control.
Armed officers destroyed the dog at the scene and police are investigating the incident.
Update: An earlier version of this update stated that the man was aged 69, but Merseyside Police have since amended this to 79.
