Police: 2 dead and 2 critical after Nevada shooting

Two people have died in a shooting at Sparks Middle School in the US state of Nevada, local police have told the Associated Press.

Washoe County School District Police could not confirm the pair's identities but said one of them was the shooter.

Two boys, both minors, are in a critical condition in Renown Regional Hospital with apparent gunshot wounds, the hospital's spokeswoman Angela Rambo said.

Four people have been wounded in a shooting at Sparks Middle School in the US state of Nevada, Reuters has reported, citing a local official.

Washoe County Emergency Manager Aaron Kenneston said he could not immediately say whether any of those were fatalities or give further information about their identities.

The Associated Press, citing local police, has reported two people have died following the shooting.
