Emergency services report 63 stone teenager rescued from her own house

WalesOnline has reported that local emergency services had to cut an obese teenager out of her own house so that she could attend hospital for urgent treatment.

A joint statement was released on behalf of Rhondda Cynon Taf council by South Wales Police, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Welsh Ambulance Service and Cwm Taf Local Health Board about the rescue operation surrounding 63 stone Georgia Davis.

Partner agencies can confirm that they are currently on site at a property in Aberdare to ensure the safe transportation of a 19-year-old girl to hospital, as she needs medical treatment.

South Wales Police are on the scene dealing with traffic issues while medical professionals from Cwm Taf Local Health Board and Wales Ambulance Trust are monitoring the girl’s health.
