The Prime Minister's spokesman has defended the Government's decision to appoint Michael Fallon as Minister for Portsmouth, saying it reflected the particular circumstances in the city following the loss of 900 jobs at BAE Systems.
He batted away questions on whether it had anything to do with the fact that Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt is appearing in the ITV diving show Splash!.
Asked if David Cameron would still be making the appointment if she was not taking part in the programme, he said: "I think you are in red herring territory."
Tom Daley stripped off for his show stopping performance on this week's Splash! Tom took off his shirt before diving from the 10m board to swim with synchronised swimmers dressed as mermaids.
Anna Williamson and Toya Wilcox went in to the Splash Off and dived again with Anna making it through to the semi-finals.
She was joined by Former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy.
Boyzone star Keith Duffy has described his struggles dealing with dizziness as he practises for celebrity diving show Splash!
The singer who will take part in tonight's live heat said: "It's pretty scary, I can tell you. It reminds me of the early days with Boyzone when I did a bungee jump from 400 feet in Florida.
"The first feeling you get on the 10 metre board is one of unbalance and dizziness, to the point where you feel you're being dragged over the edge.
Duffy also said he had experienced some painful mishaps during training: "I have done a couple of belly flops, and they're really not very nice. It's like someone hitting you very hard with a wet fish. I don't want to do that again."
He will be joined by Toyah Willcox and TV presenter Paul Ross among others in tonight's show.
