The Wanted's Max George has revealed the band split up because their personal lives drove them apart.
George told The Sun bitter rows over girlfriends, business deals and solo opportunities led to the decision to take a break after their upcoming Word of Mouth tour.
"Over the past year there has been a lot of tension," he said. "Our personal lives drove us apart. "
"Things started to happen and we were drifting. We used to be such a brotherly pact, but it started to feel like it wasn't The Wanted anymore."
Boyband The Wanted has announced they are to split up after their upcoming tour.
A statement on their website said: "This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion."
The Wanted have revealed on Daybreak that their US fans have responded positively to their British accents.
The British boyband - who will appear live in the Daybreak studio this Bank Holiday Monday - compared their home fans to their US counterparts, stating that American fans are "very forward".
Speaking from the set of their latest music video, Jay McGuiness said: "Obviously British girls are beautiful and we love them, but as someone who is at their very best average looking, the American girls find the British accent quite endearing so I have a slight advantage over here.”
America just cannot get enough of boyband The Wanted it seems.
They are currently number five in the US Billboard hit 100 chart with their song Glad You Came, largely thanks to their appearance on the TV show Glee.
