Max from The Wanted: Our personal lives drove us apart

The Wanted's Max George has revealed the band split up because their personal lives drove them apart.

George told The Sun bitter rows over girlfriends, business deals and solo opportunities led to the decision to take a break after their upcoming Word of Mouth tour.

"Over the past year there has been a lot of tension," he said. "Our personal lives drove us apart. "

"Things started to happen and we were drifting. We used to be such a brotherly pact, but it started to feel like it wasn't The Wanted anymore."

The Wanted have revealed on Daybreak that their US fans have responded positively to their British accents.

The British boyband - who will appear live in the Daybreak studio this Bank Holiday Monday - compared their home fans to their US counterparts, stating that American fans are "very forward".

Speaking from the set of their latest music video, Jay McGuiness said: "Obviously British girls are beautiful and we love them, but as someone who is at their very best average looking, the American girls find the British accent quite endearing so I have a slight advantage over here.”
