Three men bailed over 'drive-by' shooting

Three men who were arrested over a drive-by shooting on Waterloo Bridge have been bailed until early May.

Police were called to reports of a shooting in the area at approximately 8pm on Friday.

A black Ford Focus travelling southbound was shot at - believed to be by someone on a motorcycle.

A 22-year-old man was taken to an east London hospital with head injuries but he has since been discharged.

Today the police renewed their appeal for witnesses and information following the attack.

Officers say the surrounding area, including the Southbank, would have been busy and are eager to speak with anyone who witnessed the shooting, or who saw the motorcycle in the area.

Man let out from hospital as trio held in shooting probe

Three men remain in custody in connection with a suspected drive-by shooting on London's Waterloo Bridge.

A black Ford Focus is thought to have been shot at while travelling on the bridge by someone on a motorcycle at about 8pm last night.

A 22-year-old man was taken to an east London hospital with head injuries but has since been discharged.

Police arrested three young men believed to be aged 22, 23 and 24 on suspicion of firearms offences.

They are being questioned at various police stations while Scotland Yard's Trident gang unit investigates.

Car in 'drive-by shooting' came to standstill on bridge

Three men are being questioned at various police stations across London following a suspected drive-by shooting on London's Waterloo Bridge tonight, police said.

The car came to a stop on the bridge, police said. The bridge's southbound carriageway has been closed while detectives examine the scene.

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have told ITV News they have arrested three men after a car was shot at by a man on a motorbike on Waterloo Bridge in London this evening.

The incident is thought to have taken place at around 8pm. The bridge is shut as police carry out their inquiries.

A man was taken to a hospital in South East London but his injuries are not throught to be life-threatening.
