A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman, police said.
The teenager was held after officers went to an address in Benville Road, Weymouth, Dorset, after reports that a woman had been hurt.
When police arrived at the property at 1.06pm they found the woman's body.
Dorset Police said the woman's death was being treated as suspicious and officers - helped by the force helicopter - searched the area.
Police also conducted house-to-house inquiries in and around Benville Road and a cordon was placed around the property while forensic experts examined the scene.

I can confirm that Dorset Police has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the deceased woman.
A giant Tasmanian king crab is preparing to settle into its new, larger than life, home in Dorset. Claude is 15 inches wide and was brought to Britain by a sealife worker from Weymouth. The creature has a pretty big price tag too. The sealife centre shelled out £3,000. More from ITV Meridian.
