Whitney Houston's mother is writing a book about her daughter's life, career and death, her publisher HarperCollins has revealed.
The former gospel singer Cissy Houston is penning the memoir, which has been billed "the definitive account of Whitney Houston's astonishing life". The book is currently untitled and is due in February.
Whitney Houston died last February at the age of 48.
The 911 call made from the hotel where Whitney Houston was found dead has been released by Beverly Hills police. The call was made by hotel security guard who said she apparently "fell or she was in the bathroom with water".
In a statement tonight by Beverly Hills police department:
"Based on the findings of our investigation and our review of the coroner's report, we have determined that this is not a criminal matter. The BHPD investigation has been officially closed."
White powder was found in the Beverly Hills hotel bathroom where the singer Whitney Houston drowned accidentally in a bathtub in February, according to the full coroner's report released on Wednesday.
Detectives also found a rolled up piece of paper, a small spoon and a mirror - all items used by cocaine users - in the bathroom shortly after the singer's naked body was found in the bathtub.
Houston, 48, had a history of drug addiction.
An autopsy in March determined she died of accidental drowning due to the effects of cocaine and heart disease.
A remake of the 1976 original, "Sparkle" stars Whitney Houston in her final film role as the mother of three girls who form a singing group and struggle with fame and drug addiction.
The film will be released in the UK on 5th October.
