Comic actor Will Ferrell has given a rousing speech to American fans in Brazil as he was unveiled as the US team's "secret weapon" for their clash with Germany.
In a YouTube video posted by the official US Soccer account, the Anchorman star is brought on stage to a hero's welcome at a gathering of fans in the city of Recife.
Although he admits he is not in "soccer shape" at the moment, Ferrell promises the fans he will do his utmost for Jurgen Klinsmann's team.
In a tongue-in-cheek reference to Uruguay's controversial striker Luis Suarez, Ferrell also promises to "bite every German player if I have to" to ensure an American victory.
