Energy Minister addresses Gateshead conference

The Energy Minister's been in the region discussing the Government's energy policy for the coming year.

Charles Hendry addressed 200 members of the energy sector at a conference in Gateshead. Mr Hendry said the government wants communities to have more say on planing issues when it comes to renewable sites and he wants to see a mix of technology. He also gave assurances that there will be support for the region in the future.
