Swimmer qualifies for Olympics
One of the regions top swimmers has qualify for this summer's Olympics. Jemma Lowe competed in the 200 metres butterfly last night in London. The Hartlepool born swimmer took second place with a time well within the qualifying time.
She said, "I was thinking about the Olympics and how hard I've worked and it got me to the end. It has been such an emotional week for me and I am just really happy I managed to get my place on the team."
