A charity that turns some of the country's top graduates into teachers has begun working with schools in the North East. The Teach First scheme started ten years ago and has gradually expanded across the UK. This year it reached our region for the first time.

It give the trainees hands on experience in the classroom from day one. And organisers hope this fresh perspective will give schoolchildren the inspiration to become graduates themselves.
