The family of a Teesside man who went missing a year ago today have renewed their appeal for help finding him.
Scott Fletcher, from Hartlepool, was last seen getting into a car in Wheatley Hill, Durham on 11 May 2011.
His family have made several appeals for information. The search for Scott, now 28, has extended as far as Cumbria and Liverpool as it's believed he has connections there.
Scott's mum, Julie Fletcher, said: "This last year has been a very painful and worrying time for all of us as we still do not know what has happened to our much loved son Scott.
"It concerns us that Scott has missed so many important milestones, including his daughter Lucie's fifth birthday, Bradley's seventh birthday and Lucie's first day at school, and I know that as a father he would have participated fully in those events."
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Green, of Hartlepool Police, said: "With the first anniversary of Scott's disappearance approaching, his family are increasingly desperate for him to come home and we are still very concerned about his whereabouts.
"One year on, we are still encouraging any members of the public with any information at all, even if it is the tiniest scrap of information, to come forward and speak to us."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Chief Insp Green on 01642 302110.
