Seeing the Olympic torch is a memorable moment but it'll certainly never be forgotten by Christine Langham. As she watched her boyfriend carry the torch on his leg of the relay, he dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
Charity fund-raiser David State popped the question as he carried the torch through Loftus, East Clevleland. To the delight of the hundreds of people crammed into the market town Christine, who is eight months pregnant, said yes. David, 25, from Redcar, works with the Scout movement and has raised more than £10,000 for charity over the past decade, he's also volunteered with the British Red Cross for four years.

It was an incredible moment and we were thrilled to have the Olympic flame come through Redcar at such an important time in the town’s history and for the relay to end witha marriage proposal just capped off a brilliant day.
