The day after the storm
It's been a day of clearing up, and counting the cost. Twenty four hours ago, we were in the grip of flash floods.
This evening, two and a half thousand homes are still without power -mostly in Alnwick, Consett and Stanhope.
One of the worst areas was Heworth in Gateshead.
