Deadlock over women bishops

An historic vote to allow women to become bishops has been put on hold after deadlock within the Church of England.

The General Synod, meeting in York, has decided to send the proposal back to the House of Bishops to be amended.

It's because some are unhappy at a clause in the document which, they argue, would make female bishops inferior to male bishops.
