Road closures to accompany region's Royal visit

A number of road closures will be in place during Prince Charles' visit to Northumberland over the next two days.

Monday:

The centre of Amble will be closed between 2pm and 4.30pm on Monday, affecting Queen Street, Coquet Street, Cross Street to junction with Bridge Street, and Bridge Street.

Tuesday:

From 10am to 2pm on Tuesday, roads on Holy Island will be out of access to all vehicles, including Lewins Lane, Fenkle Street, Priory Lane, Crossgate Lane and Church Lane.

Bamburgh village is closed to vehicles between 12.30pm to 2.30pm, covering the B1342 Radcliffe Road (outside the Grace Darling Museum onto Church Street), plus about 500 metres of the B1340 Front Street, and the road travelling north from the Victoria pub that links to Church Street and east along Front Street to the junction with Church Street.

The area around the harbour in Seahouses will be closed from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Main Street, from the Seafield roundabout junction down to Harbour Road, the whole of Harbour Road, and from Seafield Road to the harbour and lifeboat station, are all closed.
