Police appeal after church arson attack

A man has escaped unharmed from an arson attack at a church in Stockton on Teesside.

Emergency services were called to the fire at St Bede's Catholic Church on Bishopton Road in early hour this morning. The fire is being treated as suspicious.

Any witnesses are asked to come forward.
