A figure of a woman carved into the landscape near Cramlington was officially opened by the Princess Royal. Northumberlandia took ten years to become reality and cost £3m.

The sculpture is estimated to bring in an extra 200,000 visitors a year, which would mean an extra £1m spent in local businesses.
So far she is only open to the public at designated times.
