The Magpies face Everton away in the Barclays Premier League

Newcastle United travel to Goodison Park with a host of players missing through injury.

Both goalkeeper Tim Krul and defender Fabricio Coloccini picked up knocks whilst on international duty with Netherlands and Argentina respectively. While Danny Simpson, Cheick Tiote, and long-term absentee Ryan Taylor are also out.

Speaking ahead of tonight's match, Magpies boss Alan Pardew said: "We've lost three of our back five that started the season.

"It's a significant blow for us. We're not a Chelsea, or a Man United, and bring in international players to replace them. Having said that, I think our replacements are strong."

Both Everton and Newcastle made promising starts the new season by recording opening day victories. However, the Toffees were beaten 2-0 by West Brom in their previous game, and the Magpies were held at home to Aston Villa. So both sides will be eager to get back to winning ways.

Last season's results
