£2m offshore plant for Hartlepool

Tata steel have opened a new two million pound offshore processing centre in Hartlepool. The firm which currently employs around 700 workers at its Tube Mill site on Brenda Road will supply foundation parts for offshore wind turbines. It's hoped a move into this new sector will safeguard jobs in the future.
