Middlesbrough have the first of two tough away trips this evening when they take on Blackpool in the Championship.
Boro travel to the Bloomfield Road tonight, and are back in Lancashire on Friday when they take on Blackburn at Ewood Park.
A result in either game could see Boro climb further up the league table, with both opponents currently occupying first and second. But in order to do so, Middlesbrough must improve their away form, after losing to Barnsley and Millwall on the road in the last month.
Speaking ahead of the match, Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray said: "We should have been picking up points [away] and haven't, and so we have to go to Blackpool and Blackburn this week and try and get some points.
"Blackpool were relegated the season before last. Blackburn were relegated last year. They've got Premier League squads size-wise, and quality-wise. That's why they'll be there or there abouts come the end of the season.
"They're tough games for us, but good barometers for us to go and test ourselves. See where we are."
The Teessiders will be with Curtis Main for tonight's game. The 20-year-old has had surgery on damaged knee ligaments and could be out for the next year. However, Lukas Jutkiewicz should continue up-front after returning from injury, and Andre Bikey could start his second match for the club after impressing in the 2-0 victory over Ipswich at the weekend.
