Three people from County Durham have been arrested after with the death of a retired couple in Greater Manchester.
All three, from Seaham, are being held in connection with the death of Bob Seddon, 68, and his wife Patricia Seddon, 65, in Sale on July 6.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. A 55-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
The bodies of Bob and Patricia Seddon were found by police at their home on Clough Avenue, after concerns for their welfare were raised. A Home Office postmortem revealed that both had died from gunshot wounds.
The couple's son, Stephen Seddon, was arrested in Seaham on July 7 and has been charged with murder and attempted murder.
