Tyne and Wear Fire Service have been tackling a blaze at a warehouse on North Tyneside.
The alarm was raised at 8.20 on Saturday morning. At its peak 40 firefighters were in attendance at the building which is owned by Ramage Transport.
The building had already been evacuated when the emergency services arrived. The fire took hold in a storage area housing paper, textiles and food products.
Initial reports suggest the fire started in a charging area for electric forklift trucks.
One of the main concerns is to establish the building's structural integrity.
