Pop band Lawson play Newcastle

They are one of the most in demand pop groups right now, selling out shows and releasing chart-topping hits. Lawson cracked the music scene with 'When She Was Mine' and 'Taking Over Me' - Now, they are adding to those songs with their third release 'Standing In The Dark' which is available from october 14. They are also spreading the word about their new album Chapman Square which is on sale from October 22.

As part of a promotional tour they make a stop in Newcastle to perform for 200 people at a Real Radio event. Our reporter Rachel Sweeney went along to meet them.

Lawson has supported The Wanted and Will Young and now have their sights set on their own headline tour where, they say, they would like to tour the North.

The band is made up of Andy Brown, Adam Pitts, Joel Peat and Ryan Fletcher. Andy started with band and gained popularity through YouTube.

Together they created Chapman Square, their new album. The foursome performed tracks from the album at Newcastle College.
