A new report says almost half a million disabled people could be worse off under the new system of Universal Credits when it is brought in next October.

The report - called Holes in the Safety Net - has been drawn up by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson of Eaglescliffe in County Durham.

The Government claims it is simply making the system simpler and fairer and there will be no cash losers.

Vici Richardson whose ten year old son Zak has muscular distrophy said it could be harder for many families when the changes come in.
