Puskás Award

The FIFA Puskás Award was created in 2009 to recognise the player who scored the most eye-catching goal of the year. The award is named after former Hungary and Real Madrid striker Ferenc Puskás, who scored a once world record of 84 goals in 85 internationals. Puskás is widely recognised as one of the most prolific forwards of all time.

Past winners of the award include Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009, Hamit Altintop in 2010, and Neymar in 2011.
