The Magpies travel to the Emirates to face the Gunners

Competition: Barclays Premier League

Venue: Emirates Stadium, London

Kick-off: 5:30pm, Sat 29 Dec

Newcastle United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to Arsenal on Saturday.

In their last outing, Alan Pardew's side were beaten 4-3 by Manchester United in a thrilling encounter at Old Trafford on Boxing Day. The Magpies took the lead three times, only to lose to a last minute winner from Javier Hernandez.

Meanwhile, the Gunners had Boxing Day off after their match with West Ham was postponed due to a tube strike in London.

Speaking ahead of the Arsenal clash, Pardew said: "It's a difficult game, and then we have Everton at home. This is the difficult period of the season for us. It was before we ended up in the run that we were on.

"But fortunately for us we're in good form for it. That's why we gave ourselves a great chance yesterday [Boxing Day] of getting something. Although in the end it was nothing.

"Hopefully at Arsenal we will get some reward for the effort, the confidence and the ability we are showing."
