Middlesbrough council tax freeze debate

Middlesbrough Council held a full meeting on Wednesday to debate a possible council tax freeze.

Mayor Ray Mallon opposes the freeze because the council must already find savings of £13 million from its current budget.

He chaired the meeting with councillors to discuss the issue which will go to a vote next month.

The Mayor is confident his colleagues will support him.
