200 new jobs at Tesco

A new Tesco Extra store in Gateshead will be taking on 200 new staff. The store on the Trinity Square development will open on 20th May.

People who have been unemployed for six months or more will be given priority when recruitment hotlines open.

Lines will open at 9am on Monday morning and are expected to be remain open for up to five days. Unemployed people calling in could be booked on a Pre-Employment Training programme

Those who've been out of work for less than six months or are simply looking for a new job will be given advice on the later phases of recruitment.
