Mowbray looking to end dismal league form

Competition: npower Championship

Venue: Riverside Stadium

Kick-off: Tuesday 12th February, 7:45pm

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray is keen to get back to winning ways when his side host Leeds United at the Riverside tonight.

The 3-2 loss at home to Barnsley on Saturday made it five league defeats in a row for Boro. The result was also missed opportunity to gain ground on their fellow promotion chasers, with all five of the teams above Middlesbrough dropping points over the weekend.

However, Boro can move to within three points of second placed Leicester City with a victory over Leeds. Speaking ahead of the match, Mowbray said:

We're expecting a tough game. I think Neil's [Warnock] teams always come and are fired up. So we have to be ready to match that. Our need to get back to winning ways creates a focussed mind, and so our team will be ready I'm sure.

– Tony Mowbray, Middlesbrough FC Manager
