FA charge Carver after half-time melee
Newcastle United have confirmed that the Football Association has charged the club's Assistant Manager John Carver with misconduct.
It comes after the 48-year-old was involved in a half-time fracas during Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Wigan. Carver was seen confronting both Latics players and staff in reaction to Callum McManaman's heavy challenge on Magpies defender Massadio Haidara.
The FA has also charged Wigan coach Graham Barrow with misconduct for his role during the incident.
Newcastle confirmed on their official website that Carver has until 4pm on Friday 22nd March to respond to the charge.
