Hartlepool United boss John Hughes said he was delighted with his side's League One victory over Bury on Saturday.
Pools won 2-0 at Victoria Park with both goals coming from Andy Monkhouse. That result, along with Oldham losing at home to Carlisle United, keeps Hartlepool's survival hopes alive.
Speaking after the game, Hughes said:
– John Hughes, Hartlepool United Manager
"I'm absolutely delighted that we won the football match.
"You get that hope at this time of the season. You just never know, and that will give us confidence."
The win means Hartlepool leapfrog Bury in the table but they remain in the relegation zone, five points adrift of safety.
