Police appeal for help to find missing Newcastle woman

Police are appealing for help to trace a missing woman from Newcastle.

Elizabeth Turner was reported missing on Monday 15 April after she left an address in West Road in the city.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about the 58-year-old's welfare and are encouraging anyone who has seen Elizabeth or knows her whereabouts to contact Northumbria Police on 101.

The last confirmed sighting of her was in Natwest bank in in Northumberland Street in Newcastle City Centre at around 3.15pm on Monday.

Elizabeth is:

  • 5 feet 7 inches tall
  • Of medium build
  • Long white hair
  • Last seen wearing a blue fleece jacket, dark trousers and walking boots.

"Officers have been studying CCTV and we have identified that Elizabeth withdrew money from the Natwest bank in Northumberland Street in Newcastle City Centre at around 3.15pm yesterday afternoon.

"We're asking anyone who was in the bank around that time to contact us as they may have information that can help locate her.

"If anyone knows where Elizabeth is or sees her we'd urge them to ring police."
