Guilty of murdering two-month old boy who wouldn't stop crying

A man's been found guilty of murdering his partner's baby because the youngster wouldn't stop crying.

Karl Walker, of Durham Road, in Gateshead, was found guilty by a jury at Newcastle Crown Court and jailed for life, where he will serve a minimum of 16 years in prison.

The baby's mother, Courtney Ormston, was also found guilty of allowing her son's death. She was given a 12 month sentence, suspended for two years.

Logan Ormston died from head injuries. But a post mortem report showed he had suffered a catalogue of injures in the weeks leading up to his death.

He had grazing and bruises to his body, three broken ribs, a fractured arm, fractured skull and bite marks to his leg.
