CCTV released of missing South Shields woman

Police searching for missing South Shields woman Pauline Whitfield have released CCTV images of the last time she was seen.

Pauline has not been seen since around 9.30pm on Thursday evening when she left her home and did not return home after going to the Mecca Bingo in South Shields.

The CCTV image shows her in the bingo hall on Thursday evening.

Officers are also keen for a woman who is believed to have spoken to Pauline at the bus stop to get in contact with them.

The woman was wearing what appeared to be a stripy jacket and dark trousers, possibly jeans and was with a young girl who was wearing pink jeans.

Pauline is:

  • White
  • 5 feet 1 inches tall
  • Of medium build
  • Shoulder length strawberry blonde hair
  • Green eyes
  • Pale complexion
  • Mole on the right side of her face
  • Last seen wearing a black t-shirt, a dark purple cardigan, black trousers and had a black shoulder bag

"Officers have been viewing CCTV and we've identified a woman who was stood at the bus stop with a young girl. From the CCTV it appears the woman and Pauline spoke to each other and we're keen for the woman to get in contact as she may be able to help with our enquiries."
