Internet danger - online grooming grows

The number of online grooming cases has doubled in parts of the region.

Durham Police say the number of cases it's having to deal with is increasing year on year.

It follows the death of student Ashleigh Hall who was murdered in Darlington in 2009.

Her killer contacted her by pretending to be a teenager on Facebook.

Watch Frances Read's report:

Online predators can target hundreds of children at a time and it's internet crime fighters who are hunting these criminals down.

As part of the fight against internet grooming children have taken part in Safer Internet Day to learn of the dangers.
