Newcastle United have added a certain je ne sais quoi to language lessons at a school in Newcastle by giving students a chance to meet their sports heroes and improve up on their French.
Dedenders Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Mathieu Debuchy helped take a class at Newcastle Sschool for Boys in Gosforth.
The only draw back for the students was they had to ask their questions and get their answers in French.
They were also given the chance to get autographs and a their pictures taken with the players, as long they politely asked in French.
"This is a brilliant opportunity for the boys to not only meet two of their footballing heroes, but to brush up on their French in a really fun way," said headmaster David Tickner.
