Hundreds of people have gathered in Saltburn, Teesside to attempt to break a world record for the largest Waltz.
It was organised by Age UK Teesside, who were aiming for 2,000 couples to take part in the event on Friday.
The current record was set in Bosnia in 2007, when 1,510 couples waltzed into the record books.
A total of 731 people turned out to waltz on Saltburn promendade, and despite not breaking the record, organisers say it was still a fantastic day.
Pat Chambers, the event's organiser, said: "It was a shame about the weather today but it was great to see so many people getting involved."
The Waltz was organised to celebrate “loving later life” and to ultimately raise awareness of the social isolation and loneliness felt by many of the elderly population.
