Gateshead boss Aspin to miss Fylde game due to 'ongoing speculation'

Gateshead Football Club might be back on the managerial merry-go-round.

The club's confirmed Neil Aspin won't take charge of the team for Tuesday evening's National League Game at Fylde because of ongoing speculation about his future.

Aspin's been strongly linked to the vacant manager's job at Port Vale.

Gateshead Football Club is expected to make a further announcement on Wednesday.

In light of the ongoing speculation surrounding the Gateshead manager Neil Aspin, we can confirm that discussions regarding his future at the club are ongoing.

As a result, assistant manager Lee Nogan will take charge of the side at AFC Fylde this evening.

A further statement will be made in due course."
