Durham County Cricket Club announces captain Paul Collingwood has signed a fresh deal for the 2018 season.
The 41-year-old all-rounder has committed to another season at the Riverside as he heads into his 23rd year of his playing career.
Collingwood capped an impressive season with three awards at Durham’s 2017 Player of the Year Dinner in Gateshead on Thursday night.
Among his titles are Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year and Batsman of the year.
Collingwood recorded the Club’s first NatWest T20 Blast century against Worcestershire and added another three hundreds in the four-day format.
This included a career-high first-class score for Durham of 177 against Derbyshire.
He also passed 1,000 Championship runs for the season with a season-ending average of 49.40.
He added 224 Royal London One-Day Cup runs, including 73 not out in the memorable run-chase against Nottinghamshire Outlaws.
He also finished as the Jets’ top-scorer in the T20 Blast with 346 runs.
