Hundreds of unique postcards including some designed by Newcastle United players will go up for auction in Newcastle to raise money for charity.
The North East Art Collective gallery in Newcastle is raising funds alongside Magpies fans for the West End Foodbank, which is the largest in the UK.
The food bank first opened its doors in 2013 and currently helps to feed over 40,000 people every year.
Supporters of the charity have contributed 6” x 6” original pieces of artwork to be sold through the auction. Contributors include, Rafa Benitez, Paul Dummett and Christian Atsu, plus ex-Newcastle United footballers such as Shay Given and Steve Harper.
Every twelve months The North East Art Collective chooses a charity of the year. In 2015, over £6,000 was raised for Rape Crisis.
100% of all proceeds of the auction will go to the chosen charity.
The ‘Mini Masterpiece II’ display will be up until April 19th when bidding will close at 9pm.
The North East Art Collective can be found on the upper level of Eldon Garden, just off Eldon Square above Percy Street.
