It was Stockton Town's big day at Wembley but despite a strong performance the team is coming home empty-handed.
The Teesside team lost 0-1 in the FA Vase final against Thatcham Town.
They went behind in the first half when Shane Cooper-Clarke converted a penalty in the 23rd minute.
Stockton mounted a fightback in the second half but despite a number of chances and more than five minutes of injury time they were unable to draw level.
The team received praise from the The FA for their performance though, with the association tweeting that the match was a "fantastic advert for non-league football".
