An inquest into the death of a woman who died after being bitten by a police dog has heard the Cleveland force was not aware it had bitten people and another dog on eleven other occasions.
Irene Collins died in hospital in July 2014 after she was bitten by the dog at her home in Middlesbrough.
The hearing heard it had previously been deployed by Thames Valley and Hampshire police and during that time had bitten a man on the face.
The police dog handler who helped acquire the animal said had he known - he thought the force may not have even looked at it for possible duty on Teesside.
The hearing continues.
