Dame Kelly Holmes is among a number of top female sports stars sharing their experiences at 'Getting Us Girls Active' event in Durham. With four months to go until the London Olympics, it aims to raise awareness of the importance of developing women's and girls sports programmes.
Footballer Jill Scott from Sunderland, athlete Stacey Smith and rugby league star Sarah Bennison are also speaking at the event. Organisers want to encourage more women to take part in sport.
