A woman who sparked an eight-hour stand-off with armed police at a quiet seafront has been released by police.
The 40-year-old, who brought the seaside town of Saltburn, Teesside, to a standstill on Tuesday is now in the care of her family.
She was arrested last night after hours of negotiations.
