Teenager charged over attack on 10-year-old girl

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after a 10-year-old girl was found with head injuries in Stockton, on Teesside. He will appear in court later.

Police ask for more time to question teenager

Police have asked for more time to question a teenager arrested in connection with an assault on a ten year old girl. She remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after being found with head injuries on Teesside.

Police apply to keep boy in custody

Police have applied for permission to extend detention of a 16 year old boy who was arrested after a 10 year old girl was attacked. The girl is still in the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle in a serious but stable condition.
