Karate champ: "I didn't expect it"
A girl from Sunderland has won 3 karate golds medals and she's not even 10 years old yet. Eleisha Mitchinson put up a good fight and collected 3 gold medals and a bronze at the English Karate Federation National Championships.
Eleisha has been learning the martial art since she was 4 years old, she is one step away from becoming a black belt with the help of her instructor who is also her father.

Nine-year-old karate champion
Eleisha Jane Mitchinson from Sunderland is not even ten-years-old and she is already a karate champion. She has just won three gold medals and a bronze at the English Karate Federation National Championships.
Eleisha's father runs karate clubs in Sunderland and Tyneside. In the Sheffield competition, Eleisha won an individual gold and two team golds with her eight & nine-year-old friends. She also won a team bronze.
The club won six golds which is more than any other club.
