Teenager sentenced for driving with friends on bonnet

A teenager who drove around an industrial estate with two of her friends clinging to her bonnet has been given a suspended sentence.

Katie Brough, 19, from Gateshead, was caught on CCTV driving around the town's Team Valley Trading estate.

The incident happened just months after Brough passed her driving test.

At Gateshead Magistrates' Court today she was given a six-week suspended sentence and banned from driving for 15 months.
