The famous Apple designer Sir Jonathan Ive will collect his knighthood from Buckingham Palace today.
It was announced in the 2012 New Years Honours list that the 45-year-old would be given the title for his services to design and enterprise.
As a student, Ive studied at Newcastle Polytechnic, now Northumbria University, and went on to become Senior Vice President of Apple. He designed some of the company's most successful products, including the IMAC.
Sir Jonathan will be knighted by Princess Anne, the Princess Royal later this morning.
